Dr. Navneet Sharma

Pediatrician and Neonatologist

Dr. Sharma is a Pediatrician and Neonatologist working at the Markham Kids Clinic. He completed his training in Pediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children at the University of Toronto followed by a further fellowship training in Neonatology. He spends most of his time taking care of sick newborn babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Sharma is passionate about children’s health and wellbeing and his deep interest makes him devote his time to Pediatric care at the clinic.

Besides taking care of babies, Dr. Sharma is an avid musician. You can find him crooning on his YouTube channel.

Dr. Rikin Patel

Pediatrician

Born and raised in Waterloo, Dr. Patel is a pediatrician and clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Toronto. He completed his pediatric residency at Memorial University of Newfoundland, a Masters in Health Policy and Finance from the London School of Economics and the London of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He currently works for Scarborough Health Network and is a founding member of Markham Kids Clinic, where he actively discusses plant-based nutrition interventions for children and teenagers. He is passionate about improving access to healthcare within rural and underserved communities and has been serving as a locum pediatrician in Northern Ontario since 2014.  

Dr. Patel is passionate about promoting a culture of wellness and resiliency within physician and trainee communities through medical improv, meditation and plant-based nutrition. Dr. Patel initially switched to a plant-based diet to deepen his yoga and meditation practice and has been reaping the benefits of this lifestyle transformation for the last 15 years. In addition to practicing yoga, Dr. Patel can be found at the Waterloo Kung-Fu Academy in his free time training and teaching Shaolin Kung Fu.
